How do I create a Voucher Template? Step 2 of 3

Creating a Redemption Voucher Template

This section outlines the process for generating a redemption voucher template for the Experience of Choice. Since this is a template, it will be used multiple times, so it’s recommended to include a version number in the naming convention.

Accessing the Voucher in Admin Tools

  1. Navigate to Admin Tools → Vouchers.
  2. Select Template Creation.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click the green "Create New Template" button to begin.


In this example we are using "1 hour Captains Course Experience."

Updating the Voucher Template

  1. Voucher Template Title:
    • Example: "1-Hour Captain's Course Voucher - V1."
  2. Voucher Template Description:
    • Example: "1-Hour Captain's Course Voucher."
  3. Redeemable Products:
    • All products requiring a voucher code will appear in the dropdown.
    • Select "1-Hour Captain's Course Redemption Voucher."


Setting Expiration & Usage Rules
  1. Expiration:
    • Best practice is to avoid creating vouchers that never expire.
    • Typically, setting the expiration date two years from voucher creation is recommended.
  2. Number of Uses:
    1. Default to one use per voucher.
    2. If the purchaser buys multiple experiences, update the quantity accordingly.
  3. Allowed Uses Per Order:
    1. Define how many redemptions the voucher allows per order.
Defining Voucher Code Format
10. Redemption Code Prefix
  1. Use a prefix to easily identify the experience associated with the voucher.
  2. Example: "1HCC" (1-Hour Captain's Course)
  3. Enables efficient tracking of redeemed vouchers.
Customizing Voucher Appearance & Details
 11. Public Title:
    1. Distinguishes different vouchers.
    2. Example: "1-Hour Captain's Course."
12. Customer Description:
  1. Provide a brief description of the Experience of Choice for the recipient.
13. Additional Details (optional).


14. Primary Image (optional):
  1. Upload an image representing the experience.


15. Click on the green "Save" button to update the template.


The Template is complete!

One last step, go back to the 1-Hour Captain's Course Voucher and complete the Advanced Features
1. Check Auto Generate Vouchers
2. Add A Voucher Template
  1. Select the dropdown to select the voucher that we will associate with the template.



Click on the green "Save" button to update the details.
