How do I register a POS Terminal?  Why can't I get to the POS?  Why can't I modify orders?

If you have trouble accessing parts of High Trek POS, it is very likely your computer is not registered for the browser type you are using.  We recommend using Google Chrome wherever possible.

Terminal Configuration:When you login the first time on a given device to the HTPOS you will initially have very restricted access to the functionality in the portal. Each computer/device that is connecting to the system needs to be registered and authorized by an Administrator account in order to gain full functionality to the software. These measures are put in place so that employees are not interacting with the system from home on an unauthorized device. Also, if an employee is terminated the terminal permissions and authorizations can be revoked as well as the employees credentials. In this way if an employee had access to other credentials outside of their own credentials they will not be able to utilize the system.

Terminal Register Setup Types & Requirements:
1. Simple Terminal Registration: This registration can be done on most devices running a chrome browser. Simple Registration should be done on managers laptops and any device that is not going to require hardware such as printer or credit card reader. To register your devices follow these steps: a. Login to the HTPOS using an account with Administrator Privileges. b. Navigate to Bottom of the Left Menu > Settings (the gear icon) > Register POS Terminal c. Name your Terminal as how it will be identified to the organization. d. Save the terminal. You are now logged in to the terminal, however this simple setup uses local storage and cache so if the device's local cache gets cleared you will need to re-register the terminal with the same steps above.2. Advanced Registration: This option is currently only available to Windows computers. This type of registration is required if you plan on connecting a printer (either Epson or Zebra brand).
