How do I migrate existing memberships or season passes into high trek POS?

If you are switching to high trek pos and already have active memberships or season passes, you can migrate them into the system by placing new orders using a legacy payment button. This ensures each membership is properly recorded, assigned, and ready for customer use.

You need a payment option that represents the system the customer originally paid through (such as square or another provider).

1. Go to settings → custom tender types
2. Label one of the three available buttons with the prior payment method (example: “square”)
3. Check enabled so it appears in the pos alongside cash, check, phone, and credit card

This allows you to place orders without charging the customer again.

For each existing member:

1. Place a new season pass membership order
2. Use the legacy payment button as the payment method
3. Do not email the receipt to the customer

Within about 5 minutes, the customer will automatically receive the membership setup instructions email.

After placing the order:

• Open the membership record
• Adjust the expiration date to match the customer’s actual remaining membership time

This ensures their membership remains valid for the correct duration.

If a customer has a monthly recurring membership, you cannot migrate it manually.

Instead:

• Email the customer a link to purchase the subscription online
• They must approve the subscription policy and recurring billing terms

This is required for compliance and card‑brand rules.

To migrate existing memberships:

• Create a legacy tender button
• Place season pass membership orders using that tender
• Edit expiration dates
• Send subscription customers a link to repurchase online

This process ensures all memberships are properly recorded and ready for use in high trek pos.
