# Can I include a coupon in an email?
Yes, you can include a coupon image in **custom emails**, but not in **transactional emails** such as order receipts. Custom emails—like 48‑hour reminders or post‑visit follow‑ups—support embedded images as long as the image is hosted online.
**Where can I include coupon images?**
You can insert coupon images into:
- Custom reminder emails
- Post‑visit emails
- Marketing emails
- Membership setup emails
You **cannot** insert images into:
- Order receipts
- Standard transactional emails
**How do I insert a coupon image into a custom email?**
Images must be **hosted online**. You cannot upload or embed an image directly inside the email editor.
### **Step‑by‑step method**
1. Go to **[https://html-online.com/](https://html-online.com/?utm_source=copilot.com)**
2. In the right‑side window, paste this code: `

3. Replace **INSERT\_URL\_HERE** with the url of your hosted image
4. You will see the image appear in the left window
5. Highlight and copy the image from the left window
6. Paste it directly into the body of your custom email
This inserts the image in a format the email system can display.
**Alternative option**
You can also have someone create a **full raw html template** for your custom email. This allows more advanced formatting, branding, and layout options.
